GMET Joins the Teacher Development Trust (TDT) Expert Working Group ( Published: 03/04/2025)
The TDT has convened an expert working party of education professionals from across the country, to explore and define what is unique about ‘the teaching of teachers’.
The group aims to engage a wide range of educators in developing a common language for teacher training and professional development. It will publish its first report in October 2025.
Further information about the work of the group can be found here on the Tes website: Do we need a new word to define teacher training?
As well as a blog here on the Teacher Development Trust website, which summarises the first meeting: What’s distinct about the teaching of teachers, and does it matter?
It is a real privilege to work alongside such an incredible group of experts on such a significant project. At GMET we very much value the work of the Teacher Development Trust, whose mission to empower teachers through the highest-quality professional development aligns with our own.
